Elevate Your DPT Program and Empower your Students with Expert Support from Clinical Connections Mentoring

In an increasingly rigorous academic landscape, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students continue to face more and more pressure, even the most dedicated students are facing hurdles. Whether it’s understanding the building blocks of Anatomy and Physiology, grasping more complex course material, mastering the clinical reasoning needed for practicals, or navigating the stress of an accelerated curriculum, Clinical Connections Mentoring is here to help bridge the gap.

We provide specialized, high-impact virtual tutoring exclusively for DPT students.

By partnering directly with DPT programs, we offer a seamless extension of your faculty’s reach, with the goal of helping every student in your program reach the finish line.

Why Universities Partner With Us

We recognize that while you want to provide every student with individualized attention, finding the extra time and resources can be a challenge. Our virtual tutoring and mentoring serve as a flexible solution to support student success and degree completion by providing:

  • Comprehensive Academic Support: We help students improve their understanding of course material, specific to your program, to enhance performance on high stakes exams and assignments.
  • Clinical Readiness: We provide targeted assistance for students facing challenges with clinical reasoning and the practical application of material to prepare students for Clinicals.
  • Clinical Support: Working alongside the DCE, we offer support during Clinical Experiences for student’s struggling with clinical decision making, intervention selection, communication, confidence, and self advocacy.
  • Student Wellness: Beyond academics, we offer mentoring to help students improve time management, Imposter Syndrome, and combat student burnout.
  • Flexible Integration: You decide whether these services are available to your entire cohort or reserved for select students who need additional support.

A Collaborative Approach with Your Faculty

We work as an extension of your faculty by supplementing the student’s learning through tutoring:

Improve Student Retention: Early intervention is key to ensuring student retention. We provide the supplemental support that struggling students need to regain confidence and stay on track. The first session for every student covers effective study strategies specific for graduate students.

Alleviate Faculty Burnout: Shift the burden of remedial instruction and repetitive content review from your core faculty to our team of tutors.

Data-Driven Insights: We provide regular reporting to program directors, offering visibility into student engagement and areas where the cohort may need additional focus.

How the Partnership Works

Our process is designed to be seamless for the program and empowering for the student.

Virtual Accessibility: All sessions are 55-minutes in length and conducted virtually, allowing students to receive help wherever they are.

Student Autonomy: Students take ownership of their success by scheduling their own sessions through a dedicated scheduling link and “driving the bus” during each tutoring session.

Collaborative Learning: Tutoring can be conducted individually or in small groups, depending on the students’ and Programs’ preferences.

On-Demand Support: Services can be pre-determined at the start of the year or added at any point when a student requires intervention.

What DPT Students Are Saying

Our students consistently report that Clinical Connections Mentoring provides a “comfortable” environment for deeper discussions that they often cannot get during synchronous class sessions.

“Dr. Miller was great at helping me identify my weaknesses and knew how to help me get back on track. She had many different strategies to help me improve my way of thinking.”

“I liked the way she had everything formatted… she kept notes for us about our sessions. She made it easy to be able to revisit the session notes.”

“I was grateful to have Dr. Miller throughout my clinical rotations… She guided me through some of the complicated situations I would come across whether it was CI communication issues or complex patients.”
